Prison Ministry Objectives

1. To present the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

a. To witness to men and women of the love of Jesus Christ.
b. To communicate to men and women that we love them.
c. To reassure the inmates that there are people on the
outside that love and care about them.

2. To establish a one-to-one relationship with the prisoner.

a. To be a friend who can listen more than talk.
b. Lead him/her to explore some alternatives to their
problems.
c. To develop a trust that will not fail, but will continue
in love.

3. To bridge the gap from prison to the free world.

a. To let the inmate know that he/she has a church
acceptance, job opportunities, and Christian fellowship
available.

b. To work with parole officers and families of the inmate.

4. To work with prison chaplains.

a. To provide Bibles, magazines and Christian literature when
and where needed.
